"Pedigree of the Scriptures, Question 11"

Since the OT was completed around 400 B.C., and John the Baptist, Jesus and the Disciples started around 24 A.D., so what happened during those 424 years?  God sent no more prophets during those years and He did not speak to them; instead He waited to see if his people would return to Him.

Would they reject their idols, false gods, foreign gods, pagan gods and remember their own True personal God of Creation, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, the Exodus and being restored back into Israel with Joshua?

What about the Sanhedrin leaders, the Chief Priests, the Pharisees, scribes, Levites, rabbi's and priests? Where were they during all of this?  They are supposed to be the ones who are teaching their own people about their God of the Aramaic and Hebrew scrolls (the Old Testament, the Tanakh).  But instead they were teaching all kinds of sins and false worship all the while ironically safeguarding their precious scrolls.

Remember even Before the OT ended, the last part of the OT was that the Israelites rejected their own God for the idols and false gods.  The OT ends with God sending many prophets to tell the Israelites to reject their false gods, remember their covenant with Abraham, and to remember Their One True God.

THIS is the reason why God sent John the Baptist, Jesus and the Disciples after His people rejected Him for over 400 years; because God got tired of waiting for His Chosen people to remember Him.  Because God loved and missed his Chosen People, God sent the final prophet: Jesus as His Son, Jesus the Christ, Jesus the Messiah, to reunite His people to Him.  Do you agree with this monumental, epic point of the Bible?
